The papers we have show a store(post office in Osage County. I will have to get a hold of my cousin, he has the orginal papers because his wife is a librarian and has the perserved in archive sleeves. The news clipping we have of his death has him in Eldorado Springs at the time of his death in 1902. One of my mother's cousins also went there and has a rubbing of the tombstone. I could be wrong about the circuit court judge thing, this is what I remember being told by my grandfather, one of the younger sons. Kenneth Prouty, also on the forum is a cousin of my mothers and may know more.
