Very useful information thank you.

We have tried contacting DC Thomson but had no joy at all so far. Of course they are a multi-national business not a research institute!

Any ideas on why Jack chose Selkirk as the setting (near the publishers?) and on whether Bob, Andrew Glen (Shepherd) and the farm were based on "real people/places" much appreciated!
