I would love to have a copy of those photos. I have a Xeroz copy of a portrait of John Hoover Protzman, given to me by Dr. S. Blair Protzman, his great-grandson. I will scan it into the computer and send it to you. It won't be very good quality, so if you want a Xerox of the Xerox, I can send you one in the mail.
Your comment about the Millisacks living in Wapello, Iowa got me to digging and I found another bunch of Protzmans that were living in Louisa county, Iowa in the late 1880s and 1890s. This group gave me a pain for 4 years, cause they were only two counties away from where I grew up in Henry county, Iowa. The father, Konrad Protzman, had immigrated to the U.S. about 1855 and first settled in Pennsylvania, where most of the children were born. About 1885 he moved the family to Washington county, Iowa. From there the kids spread al over the countr; Indiana; Washington state; Washington, D.C.; Virginia; Montana; and a couple stayed in Louisa and Muscatine counties, Iowa. Anyhow, you have me interested now and I will go back to Louisa county this spring and check the records for Millisacks.
Talk to you later,
Leo
