I am seeking information on my gggrandmother and her family. the little I have comes from notes and a few letters to and from my grandfather concerning his grandmother. Sarah was born in Hagarstown, Md in 1840, married William Millisack in 1861 and died in Avalon, Pa in 1924. Willliam died in the Civil War (1864) and their only child (I believe) was my ggrandmother Olive W. (Millisack) Galbreath.
Granddad's notes list her as the dau of a Peter Protzman from Leesville (Leesburg), Oh. Peter's father was supposedly Hoover Protzman from Cavetown, Md. Peter's children were:Benjamin,John, Daniel Hoover, /Sarah, Mary, Peter, Johan & Philip M.
Daniel's children were John Wesley, Harry, Daniel, Will, Grace (m J C Herron, Cleveland,Oh), Stella (m name illegible) and Olive (m B Chaddock). Hoover also seems to have had another child (no name& gender given) who's son was Ferdinand. Ferdinand's children listed are George & Belle.
Sarah's sister also translated some information from the family bible from German to English, listing 7 childen born between 1787 - 1803 in Lancaster and Washington. Names are Joseph, Eva Margarata (d in infancy), (Dorad?) Elizabeth (also d young) Augustus Rudolfus maximilanus, Elizabeth (d young), Carl Jacob & Maria.
Other names copied from the same source are Maria Seidenspinnerin, Wm. Price, Joseph Price.
