There is one possibility on your PROSSER Family. It would be fair to say that they are from the Chestnut Ridge area of Southern Middle Tennessee.

A possibility is that the lineage goes back to Bill PROSSER that was sentenced to prison for killing Will GLENN. We do have cousins that are connected to the Bill PROSSER lineage and we know of one child (Nathaniel Lee PROSSER) of him, but newspaper articles of the time refer to other children. It has been suggested by some researchers that a family by the name of FOSTER raised Bill's children in Coffee County. Bill was a son of Grover Morris PROSSER and Mary Ann ROSE

There has been some difficulity in connecting the Grover PROSSER line to the James PROSSER line although they were all in "The Ridge".

There is a Julia PROSSER that presently resides in Tullahoma that has done quite a bit of research on this PROSSER line. I am unable to locate her email address at this time and if I found it, it would possibly not be current because I have not corresponded with her in awhile.

I have just completed the 37 marker DNA test and mailed it yesterday. This might be a possibility for you. Al Prosser that monitors this sight is the manager of the PROSSER Family DNA testing.

I hope this has helped you some!
