Glad to hear from you! At the time of that posting I was just beginning my search, since then I have discovered that there was a Proper settlement near there and then they moved into the Mountains, that part of the family made baskets, quite interesting. There was an indian reservation near there and I was wondering if they lived on indian lands, not that they were decended from indian heritage. Although in searching there was reference to a Proper marrying into an Indian family in that area. Anything is possible you know. I have found a man with listings that include my Proper's and it is the Johann Peter line also. I have been concentrating on another area of family lately and don't have everything right here in front of me. My GGGrandfather was a Walter Proper who married Delia Kellerhouse of Livingston. They had the one child, my GGrandfather Charles Jonas Proper. Delia then married a Clinton Miller and had 4 more children. I do not know why Walter and Delia were either divorced or if he passed on. I have been having problems finding info. Someday I hope to visit the area and do some searching to try to find the answers.
