Wow! FINALLY I find someone looking for MY family! Been looking for 30 years! You are right, James Alexander's father was John Thomas Pritchett. Mahala Catherine "Dixie" Smith Pritchett is her full name. They are buried at Red Apple Cemetary, near Friendship, Ala. Which is near Boaz. There were a couple of Jesses. My Grandfather was Lee Theodore "L.T.", his brother was Jesse D, and Charlie. I don't have my information handy, so I'm trying to remember.
Jesse "J.D." lived near the Whitesboro comunity of Boaz. His sons were Paul and Ray Pritchett, daughter Catherine, can't remember who she married. I will try to find it. Problem is, I moved to NV 5 years ago, and most of my family tree is in storage in Alabama.
I grew up in Sardis City, near Boaz. It was my Grandparents house before. I know the Pritchetts were in Clay and Calhoun counties before coming to the Boaz area, but I don't have the GA link. Been trying to find it for years.
Uncle Jesse's grandkids by Ray and Eloise are Danny, Michael "Bud", Lenise, and Darlene. Last I heard from Lenise, she had married a Proctor from the Ft. Payne area. Ray and his other children moved near Mobile. They ran a car repair shop near Whitesboro. So, they may have a shop around Mobile.
My Grandpa Theordore "L.T." Pritchett married Sarah Naomi Brewer. They had a son "L.T." Junior who died at 3mons, he's buried in Thrasher Cem, at Sardis City, AL. Their/our house was across the street from that cemetary. Years later, they had my father, Donald Wayne Pritchett Sr., who married my mother Vivian Ann Martin. They still live in Albertville, Al, just a few miles up hwy 431 from the cemetary and house. I am the oldest, Donna Ann Pritchett, I have a sister, Laina Lee Pritchett, and a brother Donald Wayne Pritchett Jr..
There is also Forney Gray Pritchett, I think he was my Great Uncle, never met him. He settle in the Scottsboro,AL area. There was a Radford, Judson, Marshall, and Marion(male) who were James' brothers. They say Marion shot a man and hopped a train to TX, but later came back. I've been told they lived in the Shinbone, AL area in Clay County, but can't find anything on it.
John Thomas was married to sisters, (seperately of course) when the first one died, he married the other. Minerva and Narcissa Williams. Haven't found much on their family. And Nicolas was the father of John Thomas. Nicolas was married to a Bailey, Sarah I think, daughter of Charles Bailey. And that's about all I can remember off the top of my head! lol A lot more than I thought I could. I will dig out what I can out here in NV, dates, and places, etc... Can't wait to see what you have, sounds like you've may your way back to GA. I keep finding a Gideon Pritchett, but can't find any of my family linked with him. Do you know? Is he our relative? If he is, there is a mountain of info on him out there! Can't wait to hear from you. How are you related? Donna
