Thomas Lynn Nelms and wife Julia Ann Pritchett Nelms moved to Georgia Mountain located in Marshall Co.. Al. around 1883.Thomas Pritchett and Rebecca Nelms Pritchett must have remained in Georgia for I can find no record of them in Marshall Co., Al.After the death of Presley Nelms, Thomas Lynn and Rebecca's father, his land was was given to his son, Thomas L. and his son-in-law Thomas Pritchett. Both Thomas L. and Thomas Pritchett enlisted in the Ga. Inf.45th Inf. Co. D McCowans Guards. T.L. was captured at Hatchers Run in 1864 and Thomas Pritchett surrendered at App. Courthouse with Gen. Lee.There were several Nelms and Pritchetts in this unit.Julia Pritchett Nelms died in 1906 and buried at Mt. Carmel Cem. on Georgia Mountain. If anyone has information on Thomas and Rebecca please contact me.Thanks.
