I compacted. File was compacted by 1.01% - not much. That did not affect the huge numbers of pages in my books. The smaller of the two books that I brought over from Version 16 still has over 6,000 pages. I did not attempt to open the book that has 27,000 pages in it. I was afraid that my FTM would blow up or something.

Truthfully, I did not go through my book beforehand. I hadn't planned on going through my book at this point as that will probably take me a week in my spare time, but I will do that. I'll first have to "learn" how to fix the pages that didn't transfer over correctly to my new Version 2011. I don't really have chapters though, which you said I should go through, one by one. I have a Title Page, Table of Contents, Coat of Arms graphic with caption [on a separate page], 3 Map graphics with captions [all on separate pages], a Register Report of John Chandler, and an Index.

I suspect that my media might be giving me a problem too. I have 25 mystery icons in my Media File. They look like a little brown book with a magnifying glass to the right. When I double click on each of these mystery icons, I get "File Not Found." They may have been brought over when I transferred my files from Version 16 to 2011 ? I have no idea what they are. They aren't supposed to be there, right? Should I delete them ?
