Book Publishing Problem with FTM 2011and 16
Posted by: Susan Lubow (ID *****8959) Date: February 23, 2011 at 10:53:55

My beloved FTM 16 stopped working properly and I was forced to upgrade to FTM 2011. When I imported the books created in FTM 16, all but one appeared to import properly. I recreated the unimported one by cutting and pasting from FTM 16. However, when I opened the books in 2011 to edit and pressed the preview button, I found the formatting in the books was cockeyed and that every other page was blank. At first this only affected the book I manually input. But, then it also affected the other imported ones. I contacted the help line and was eventually told that I would have to re-enter all of the text without cutting and pasting, in order to solve this problem. That is a gargantuan task for a 300 page book. Any ideas on how to fix this? I would go back to FTM 16, but every time I try to preview a book it says "FTM executable has stopped working". I think this may have corrupted my book files, but I am grasping at straws. Sue
