Does anyone have further information on the Pringle family in NZ. Anne Pringle has kindly shared this information with me and it might help other's with their family search:
Alexander Prigle Married Unknown Birrell
son:
Alexander Pringle b. 1822 left Scotland in 1840 on the 'London'. He meet and married Mary Speedy in NZ on the 13th May 1851.
children:
1) Walter Pringle b.1869 played Rugby & toured Australia with the team in 1893. (Plaque in Petone Footpath for his sporting achievements).
2) Helen Pringle b.1852-1933 married Thomas Paul Allen
their children:
Mary Elizabeth Allen b.1875
Mabel Alice Allen b.1977
Herbert Edgar Allen b.1878
Mildred Ethel Allen b.1881
Lancelot George b.1885
Nora Kate Allen b.1887
Bertha Agnes Allen b.1890.
Both Alexander and Mary are buried in the Knox Churchyard at Lower Hutt.
I would like to hear from anyone who might be able to add further information to this Pringle family.
