Twyla, Below is the obit of Charles Roy Turner, Jr. From the names in the obit he would appear to be a s/o Charles S. and a first wife ??? with Nannie Prillaman Turner as his stepmother. The funeral of Charles R. Turner, Jr., cashier of the Bank of Axton, who died at his home at that place Sunday night following an unusually virulent attack of typhoid fever, was held at the home this morning, after which the body was taken to Danville and interred in the Green Hill Cemetery. Member of Roman Eagle Lodge of Masons will conduct the ritual burial services of the order at the grave. The deceased, a son of Mr. Charles R. Turner, was 33 years of age, was widely connected and highly popular throughout the Axton area, having lived there almost all of his life. His wife died eight months ago, leaving him with two children, Randolph, age 10 and Garland, age 7, who with the death of their father, are now doubly orphaned. Besides them, he leaves several brothers and sisters, Mrs. Charlie Terry of Chatham, Mrs. William Davis of Chatham, Morton Turner of Axton, Miss Mabel Turner of Axton and Edward Turner. A second notice appeared in the paper dated Sept. 25, 1925, p. 5, col. 3, mentions survivors as his father, Mr. C. R. Turner, step-mother, Mrs. C. R. Turner, three sisters, Mrs. C. E. Terry and Mrs. W. L. Davis of Chatham and Miss Mabel Turner of Axton, and four brothers, Mr. Conway Turner of Whittles, Va., Messers. Morton, Howard and Edd Turner of Axton.
