Robin

We don't know who Henry Priest/Preast parents. Family lore was he had been expelled from England as a theif, and he was Cobbler or Shoe Maker. Yes, he did have daughter named Patsey. Henry was in lawsuit in Bedford County Va sueing the Eads family, he used spelling of Preast 1789. Henry Preast had brothers, John, Thomas, William who spelled Priest rather than Preast. John Henry Preast dropped "t" after moving to Delta County. Even one of John Henry's sons used Preast, another Priest in Texas. This family traced backed to Upper Potomac River Maryland 1770s where brothers served in American Rev. War. The family left Va 1800s, some going into Ky, some SC and late 1800s into Texas. The Ky land was probably War payments from Va war service.
His wife Elizabeth was perhaps a St Clair/Sinclair due to many documents and moving together. Just not any marriage record.
