Hi Sandra! Welcome to the world of the perpetual brick wall! You are asking the same $64,000.00 question that has plaqued the rest of us since we started researching this family!
According to the latest that has come my way, the father of George Prickett is thought to be a William Prickett, however this may not be the case.
According to Maryland Marriages by Barnes there were several Pricketts that married near or around Baltimore in the 1760's. These may be related or not. Until some one finds another clue we are all waiting at the same brick wall that you have found yourself at.
I myself have found that Mary Johnson may have been born in 1734 to a Joseph Johnson and a Martha Unknown. This is the only Mary Johnson that I have been able to find in that place and time period.
I am related to George through his eldest son Israel(1763-1837) through his son Jesse(1790-1859)through his son Israel(1816-before 1870) through his son James J.(1845-1925) through his son Benjamin C.(1872-1922) through his son Robert R.(1908-1971) through his daughter Edith who married William E. Alexander (1929-1998) I am their eldest child.
I hope to hear from you and perhaps we can exchange notes about what we have discovered thus far.
William M. (Mark) Alexander
