William Price distinguished at Stony Point
"Ancestors and Descendants of John Price Immigrant to Virginia 1610-11" by V. Chandler Price Pg. 42:"William Price was distinguished in the Revolution in 1777, at the storming of Stony Point, and at the battle of Cow-Pens, was wounded twice. After the war, he was in command of the Point of Fork, and subsequently Inspector at the public warehouse in Richmond until his death in 1835 (sic, should be 1830).He was buried with great military honors by the troops and citizens of Richmond."
This is the Revolutionary War soldier, whose Revolutionary War service, I believe, has been confused and credit mistakenly given to my Col. William Price of Jessamine Co., KY.
Does anyone on this forum descend from the first William Price above?
Thanks, Linda
