D., Braddock, was born in Meigs Co., Ohio, in 1845, fifth son in the family of twelve children of CHARLES and SARAH (SISSON) PRICE, former a native of Virginia, of Welsh and German ancestry, and by occupation a farmer.The subject of this memoir was educated at the public schools and Nelson’s College, Cincinnati, Ohio, and in 1866 commenced the study of medicine under the preceptorship of Dr. Hayworth, of Ohio; entered the Cincinnati College of Medicine and Surgery in 1869, graduating there in 1872.The doctor then commenced the practice of his profession to West Virginia, where he remained ten years, and then, in 1883, moved to Braddock.He was married in 1865 to MARY F. KERRIGAN, a native of Indiana, and two children (now deceased) were born to them.In 1862 DR. PRICE enlisted in the 7th Ohio battery and served three years in the civil war.He and family are members of the M. E. Church; politically he is a republican.
