KyOhVa & the Price, Bloomer, Gardner, McSorly families
Joseph Gardner b:1774/Ct..atty/merchant/shipping..
married Marie TC Raison de la Geneste, in St.Domingo, 1798.
Fled the burning of the plantations there to Ct., ending up in Greenup, Ky, early 1800's. Engaged in the Tabor Salt Mine venture on the Young ppty. One of his dtrs married the d/o Daniel Bloomer, who's wife was the d/o Edmund Price.Mr. Price had another dtr who married Mr.McSorly who was a young clerk at the mine, later a school teacher in the area. To no avail, I've tried to find the names of the Price women, in Edmund Price's hh.This is from my direct line of ancestors. Can anyone help me fill in the blanks?I *think* the Price family may have been in Kanawa and/or Wayne Co's..maybe, before that area of VA became W.Va.They may have also been in Lawrence Co.,Ky, after the Salt Mine venture, where I've found these surnames, in the tax roles. But nothing on the wives/dtrs.Thanks for any help.
