OK this gets a lil confusing right about here lol. There sure were alot of Francis named men in Alabama must have been a really popular name lol. Here is my info that I dug up today on the Francis that I am related to.
Cleburne County Census 1870
Township 17 Range 11
John A Price 52 Farmer born in South Carolina
Martha A (wife of John A) 36born in Georgia
Their children
William H Price age 12
Thomas J Price age10
Mary E Price age8
Martha A Price age6
Hannah M Price age4
Nancy Price age2
Living next door
Francis Marion Price Age 18 farmer and son of John A Price
Syntha E Price age 20 (first wife of Francis Marion)
Amanda L Price listed in first post appears to be Francis second wife. Although I have seen them listed in Marriage records of Cullman county as James H Price and Amanda L Price. Did Francis change his name? Or was it a clerical error? I have visited the cemetery where they are buried Mt Zion United Methodist in Cullman hundreds of times as I have other family there and live about 25 miles away. The headstone for the graves are marked
Francis M Price and Amanda L Price. Kind of a mystery cant get any kind of knowledge from living relatives.
Francis son Oscar Joseph (O.J) and his wife Matilda Kilpatrick Price are my gtgtgrandparets there children are
Mertie L
Joseph Herman Price (my gtgrandfather)
Carl H Price
The Francis in Pickens although simialr name and date of birth year isnt my relative but did help lead me in the direction I needed so thank you for that info. My gtgt aunt still living provided me with enough info and the fact we came from Georgia to Cleburne and then to Cullman/Morgan/Blount counties.
I will keep a look out for the info on the Francis D you referred to and whne I find it I will post it for you. I will be going back to Cullman to research more in the following days anyone needing info from there let me know if I can be of help.
Now I am on the quest to find out all I can about John A Price born in sc in 1818 then to Georgia nd then Alabama.
