Hi Sue, Yes we are Cousins. I'm from Stratford New York.
But I was born in Albany. My Dad born Dillard Preville changed his name to Adelord. His dad was Francis. Francis dad was Frank.
The story I got from the Aunts and Uncles was John Olivier was from Canada and that's all......
He married Adele Matte in 1868 in Whitehall New York.
There was 9 Children born in 1910 census but 6 were living.
This is what I have:
1-Theresa Preville married Walter Burke their Son Harold
2-Frank married Anna Palardy Children: Francis, Mildred,and Eva.
3-Henry married Philomon Geno Children: Rachael, Sylva, Eve, Retha, Agnes May, Cornelia Byrd, and Pansie Blossom.
4-Anna Preville never married.
Now here is the list of children that was born to Adele and Olivier but I can not find any info on them.
5-Joseph Olivier b: Dec 5 1868 Whitehall New York
6-Joseph Ananie b: Aug 1872 Whitehall New York
7-Marie Adele b: Nov 11 1878 Whitehall New York
8-Adele b: March 1883 Whitehall New York d: July 31 1883 Whitehall NY.
There is a Oliver Preville in Mass. But I don't know if they are Related.
And when Adele and Olivier was married 7 days before a Marie Preville married a Alfred Pinsonnault. Could not connect them to Olivier...
Olivier sold land to Alfred in Whtehall in 1878.....
I've been to Vermont and to Whitehall researching...
My main search has been the internet.
To your note I found out John name from my Aunts...
But he went by Olivier too.
I'm very interested in your story because I have been stuck here in New York and Vermont. I cuold not find anything in Canada on John....Maybe your story might be right..... Sue e-mail again I have alot from my side I"ll share with you and I would Love info on your side.
