Dear Deborah,
Henry A. Preville was my great-grandfather. Frank Preville was my great uncle. We're either 3rd or 4th cousins. I've been doing genealogy research for a number of years. I haven't been able to find much about the Previlles' until I found your message.
My great-grandfather, Henry Preville, was born in Lake Luzerne, NY. I'm not sure where Frank was born. Although I never knew Frank, my mother did she talked about him often. I don't remember what she said, but I could certainly find out more about him.
Where did you get your Preville information? I haven't been able to find anything. I never knew our ggg-grandfather's name until I read your posting. How did you find out that his name was John Preville.
My great-aunts, Henry Preville's daughters, told me that he was from England. The name there might have been Prindeville. He was supposedly from the upper class. He meesed around with a barmaid and got her pregnant. They were exiled to Canada. They had 2 sons. For some reason, they gave their sons to this French couple. I don't know their names. The French couple informed them that they were no longer "English", but "French". I have no idea what happened to him or his wife. I probably don't have all the facts straight. What I told you is the gist of the story.

2. Retha Preville Lang Kinsman and Leroy Lang
3. Yvonne Lang Troy and Walter W. Troy
4. Susan Troy-me, sisters Malinda, Maura, and Marcy Troy
I was born in Rutland, Vermont. There are a Geno Ave and a Preville Ave. there. The Genos' and Previlles' were well known in Rutland.
