Hello Joseph,
I tried to find Bedsdorf. But it seems there is no village
in Germany with that name nowadays. I believe the
most likely place is Bedesdorf in Lorraine (Lothringen),
now called "Bedestroff" or Benestroff, since the
French try to "Frenchisize" the German names.
That would suite well with your other relatives
from Lorraine.
Also note that at that there is a town Bingen between
Metz an St. Avold, also in Lorraine.
