PREUNIGER

I happened to discover this particular Genforum surname board while researching my mother's maiden name PRAUNER, which is found in Germany sometimes spelled as PREUNER. The similarity to PREUNIGER is obvious. I've recently been searching the German parish records of Michelbach an der Heide located near the border of modern Baden-Württemburg and Bavaria. These church records contain a great deal of records related to the PREUNIGERs dating from the early 1600's to nearly present day. Microfilm copies of the records can be ordered for viewing at a local LDS Family History Center. I believe the relative film numbers are #1,528,592, #1,528593, and #1,528,594, with the Family Registers being in the last roll of film (perhaps, I can't remember, also some in the 2nd roll also).
