The 1880 shows Fannie age 5 and Gertrude age 7 as the daughters of William age 31 and Arabelle age 28 in Kilbourne, Mason Co., IL. Oscar is listed as born in NJ as were his parents. Arabella was born in Illinois and her father in Indiana and mother in Kentucky.
THe 1870 census shows a William M. Prettyman age 21 living with Jacob age 46 and Hannah age 44, all born in NJ living in Havana, Mason Co., IL.
The 1860 census shows the family again living in Mason County.
The 1850 census shows the family living in the South Ward of the City of Camden, NJ.
Going the other way the 1900 census shows William as born July 1847 and with a second wife and living in Havana. He is also in the 1920 census as a roomer and widow in Peoria, IL. Jacob is still kicking too and was born March 1824 and widowed.
The death certificate of Mrs C. W. Cossett in the death certificates from Texas list her parents as Jacob Prettyman, born in PA and Hannah Williams, born in NJ: http://search.labs.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html?datestamp=1195390820093#searchId=118735609405536600000;searchType=standard;p=recordResults;motherGivenName=hannah;fatherSurname=prettyman;fatherGivenName=jacob This is possibly Ida listed in the 1860 census at age 3. There are inconsistances so it may or may not be the same family.
Familysearch.org website lists in the IGI a William Matthew Prettyman born July 22, 1848 in Camden, NJ.
