If the date of birth and other details supplied are correct, you should be able to order a copy of the birth record from the National Archives via their website. Since the date is after 1837, there is a strong chance this record does exist, although it is possible that it does not. Should you have all details correct, you will be able to do this for a fee of £7, though it will be more expensive if these are not sufficiently complete.
