JAMES DAVID PRESSLY, a native Houstonian, born on December 1, 1923, died on Wednesday, October 17, 2001. Mr. Pressly attended Lamar High School, Texas A & M University, and graduated from the University of Houston. He was a Veteran of World War II serving in the United States Air Corp. Mr. Pressly owned and operated Pressly Chevron and Automotive in Southside Place for forty-eight years. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-eight years, Virginia Helton Pressly; children, James Pressly, Jr., Tinka Simmons and husband, Bert, Stephen Pressly, Peggy Rutledge and husband, Mike, and Richard Pressly and wife, Janice; sixteen grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. A Vigil for the deceased will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, October 19, 2001 in the Chapel of The Settegast-Kopf Co., 3320 Kirby Drive, with visitation following until 9:00 P.M. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 20, 2001 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 6800 Buffalo Speedway, with the Rev. Msgr. James A. Jamail celebrant. Private interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Parkinson Coalition Of Houston, 1475 W. Gray, Houston, Texas 77019; or to the charity of choice
