Dear Ann,
Elvis' father, Vernon, was the son of Rosella Presley, who never married, but had 9 or 10 children. She never told them who their fathers were. Since DNA is calculated on the father;s side, Elvis is a Presley only through his grandmother, Vernon being the same. I am Elvis' cousin, 4 times removed. Hope this answers your question.
