Thank you for the information.

My George Nelson Prescott was born in Maine about 1833 and died in Verdun, Quebec, 11 July 1899. I have marriage records for him and Charlotte, giving the date of marriage as 23 Aug 1865 in Barford, Quebec. I also have Nellie's birth record of 13 Nov 1866 in Barford which lists George and Charlotte as the parents. I am wondering if maybe you have found George's father. I have no information on his parents.

Your post gives a "Census 1991". Did you mean 1881?

I'll have to do some research into the Nelson you referred to as having died in 1858. Do you have any other info about this person?
