Hi Mary! I'm one of the New England branch. Prescotts are a pretty large family.....and,unfortunately,not quite as well organized as we might be.I descend from Richard of Hampton,NH and live in the landing place,Lancaster,Mass.,of the other early Prescott immigrant,John. Since John is a particular popular and repeated given name for this branch you might be connected to it.The Bush family descends from John also. My problem is that there was a clearly-established line of descent for the Richard line back through the British aristocracy....until someone,a few years ago,discovered,in England,the grave of the the man who everybopdy else thaught was born at Driby Manor in Lincolnshire....and buried in Hampton NH! Thereupon erupted major family tree disruptions......and promises of further research......mostly stalled further downstream!
I don't know too many specifics about your Prescott,but it appears that he is descended from Simion in Georgia.There seem to be pictures on the intenet of" English Methodist Ministers"of which Simeon seems to be one.You can find this by entering"Simeon Prescott of Georgia"on a search engine.
