I am trying to find information on William's parents.
His death record in 1899, Simcoe Co,Ontario states he's 91 and born in Glengarry County, Ontario.
Records from St Rapheal's Catholic church shows a William born to Lewis and Catherine (McDonell)Prentice in 1817. This date is too late when compared to his death registry. Also William was Church of England. Records of St Andrew's Presb, Williamstown, show a William born 1792, but he was Daniel and Mary (Hamilton)Prentice's son who was killed in the war of 1812. No records show he was married. Daniel Prentice, his father, made a land claim for his son's land entitlement.
Has anyone come across another William Prentice, born abt, 1807, Glengarry, County.
Any help or direction would be appreciated.
