Marion, How nice to hear from you!! I am in fact Ada's daughter. She is 87 now and still extremely fit and lively. Your grandfather was my mum's Uncle Jack. My mum has drawn me up a family tree and I see that Jack Prendergast had 6 daughters, one of them, presumably, your mother.
Have you made much progress with the Prendergast family tree? I haven't been able to find out much about the family in their Tralee days.
When you say my mum visited you in Brighton, were you in the Patcham/Preston area? I seem to remember her visiting someone there many years ago.
By the way, I'm also in Brighton so maybe we can get together for a cup of tea sometime!
My email address is
I look forward to hearing from you, Regards, Jan
