PRECIADO-MICHEL Tlapalpa, Jalisco area

My father-in-law is 92 years old. I am trying to him find information on his family. This is what we know of the PRECIADO-MICHEL Family:

Jose Maria PRECIADO b. in the mid 1800's, married Petra GARCIA who had a son Jesus PRECIADO-GARCIA; and a dau. who married a man by the surname of GIL. (The governor of the state of Jalisco, Juan GIL-PRECIADO was her son. He was governor of Jalisco in the 1950's or so.)

Jesus PRECIADO-GARCIA (son Jose Maria PRECIADO & Petra GARCIA) was b. about 1875 in Tlapalpa, Jalisco, Mexico. He married about 1891 perhaps in La Cienega, Jalisco to Matiana MICHEL-FLORES (dau. Ambrosio MICHEL & Petra FLORES.)

Matiana MICHEL-FLORES was b. Sept. 21, 1872 La Cienega. She and she husband, Jesus PRECIADO had 8 children: Miguel 1893, Serafina 1894, Maximina 1896, Marceliana 1898, Balbino 29 Mar 1903, Jesus 1906 and Jose PRECIADO-MICHEL in 1908

Shortly before the youngest son, Jose (my father-in-law) was born, his father died in 1908 in El Rancho El Palmar, Autlan, Jalisco, Mexico.

It seems the MICHEL Family was from La Cienega (or El Limon, Jalisco and the PRECIADO Family was from Tlapalpa, Jalisco. La Cienega may be the name of a ranch. This area is near Autlan, Jalisco.

My father-in-law is the last remaining of his family. Any information is welcomed. Please e-mail me at lara93@gateway.net

Linda
