Hi. Not a problem. I enjoy doing this stuff tremendously. Unfortunately, I may have added to the confusion, haha. Especially regarding Artemus, Rebecca and Asenath. The more I re-read your posting, the more I worried that your Joseph Rumrill info was overlapping due to the different Joseph's from different lines. For instance, you had the 1720 Joseph being the father of the above three. But that's impossible, him being 80, and dying in 1799. They were all born between 1798 and 1806. So if they are anyone's children, they are Joseph and Rebecca from the 1760's birth range.

That also goes for the four women you mentioned has being children of Joseph Rumrill and this mystery Preble. Since they were all born in the 1820 time frame, they were married by the time of the 1850 (when ALL family members were shown). So without an extracted record from one of the VR repositories, it's impossible to determine exactly who's kids they are. The only clue so far is that Asenath lived with Emeline in 1880. So they have some relationship, likely Aunt to Niece. Oh well, haha.

The paper article showing Rebecca was actually from an original copy being sold on Ebay, of all places. I do not know who bought it eventually, or where another copy may be found. Perhaps you have access to old Massachusetts newspaper repositories and can get a confirmation/verification. The transcript is below:

Massachusetts Ploughman
