Hi Cuz,

I just wanted to contact you and let you know that your
Basil Pitts Prather (Prater) was a Private in the S.C.
Forces and NOT the 1st. Lt. Infantry in the 8th PA.
The Basil Prather in the 8th PA. was the one that went
into KY. and is buried in Louisville, KY.
Note: There were 13 Basil Praters / Prathers ... very
easy to confuse them.
I have copies of both of Basil Pitts Prather's Wills.
The first written in 1829 and the 2nd. written in 1832.
He only had one wife: Priscilla Van Swearingen.
