Andrew Jackson Prater (Prator/Prather)
Married Rachel Johnson

We have not been able to find out a lot about his parents
and don't know his mothers name, but his father was
Benjamin Prater(Prator/Prather) who we believe was born
about 1766/70 Maryland. He is listed in the 1830 census
Elbert Co., GA.
We have only come up with 3 of his children:
*William M. Prater B: ca. 1812 prob. in S.C. and married to
Elvira (Alvira) A. ________ on 29 Jan., 1832 Elbert Co., GA.
Don't have any info. on his children.
*Andrew Jackson Prater that married Rachel Johnson.
*Sarah Martha Prater B: ca. 1824 GA. and married John
Henry Powell.

B: ca. 1725/30 Prince George Co., Maryland
D: 30 May, 1780 Frederick Co., Maryland
Married: bef. 1765 Frederick Co., Maryland
Reocrd: Probate Records DD; 3 ; 650/9
Here again we don't have all of his children figured out
yet eather!
John Prater (Prather) B: ca. 1750/60 who we believe died in
N.C.
Massey Prather(Prater) B: ca. 1765/8 married: Richard Welch 1 Oct., 1781 Prince George Co., Maryland.
Benjamin Prater (Prather) B: 1766/70 Maryland.

Benjamin Prather's parents were:
William Nathan Prather Jr.
B: 8 Mar., 1700 Prince George Co., Maryland
D: 20 Sept., 1780 Prince George Co., Maryland
Married: ca. 1724 St.John Parish, Prince George Co., MD.
Wife: Martha Prather (his cousin), dau. of Jonathan Prather Jr. who was married to Elizabeth Bigger.
We have more quite a bit of info. on William and some
of his other children but not much on his son Benj.
William Nathan Prather Jr. married 2nd. Ruth Edmonston.

Married: 1695 St. Barnalas, Queen Ann Parish, Maryland
Wife: Ann Yates, dau. of George Yates Sr. and Mary Wells.
