My great-grandfather was Juan Albert, son of Eustaquia Albert Brignoni of the Canary Islands. The story told of Juan Albert was that his mother was in love with an officer int he Spanish Army. She eventually became pregnant and her paretns sent her to Cuba to live with her godparents. Juan Albert was born inCuba around the mid-1800. At the age of 16, he and his mother moved to what is today, Las Croabas, Fajardo, Puerto Rico. Eventaully, Eustaquia married a man named Beniot Flores from Fajardo, Puerto Rico. She had children with Mr. Flores. Any additional information I can get would be greatly appreciated.
