Mi padre, Rafael Díaz Ortiz, nació en Ponce en el 1903. Sus padres: Maria Ortiz y Buenaventura Díaz. En la familia había siete hijos pero cuatro murieron cuando niños; quedaron tres hermanos: Rafael Emiliano y Luis Antonio. También tenía una hermana de crianza (que era sobrina de mi abuela) que se llamaba Angelita. Es posible que la familia de Angelita viva en Mayagüez hoy en día.
