Ana was mother to the well known Dr. and President of Venezuela "Jose Maria VARGAS". She and her children ran away to Puerto Rico and stayed in hiding to avoid a bloody war abt 1812 in venezuela. Jose Maria VARGAS stayed also in Puerto Rico for 8 yrs. I am looking for any information on this family and relatives now in Puerto rico or elswhere. I have relation to this family through one of my great grandmothers Josefa VARGAS.
