This is a bit late to follow up as you may all have given up on this.
My mother had the coincidence to have married twice, both to Poynton's, but from different lines.
The first ws to JJ, Joseph James from the Illabarook group. I will check on the actual times and olaces etc. The second was to John Orde From England. He had conducted a very thorough search on the family over his lifetime, and had said he identified seven distinct family lines going back to (with gaps) to william dePoynton, Sherrif of Lincoln in the 1200's.
I have more info on this stshed away.
Charles is my cousin, presently living in Japan I think.
