I have the two books on the Doctor-Powrie families. My research doesn't exactly follow hers, but I have a lovely old photo of Denmill. Would be happy to share all I have to find who the real parents were. The family does have a reunion in Michigan, and I can give you the contacts.

I research every family. Dr Powrie Doctor, the famed teacher of the deaf is part of this branch.
