Katherine E. Miller Katherine E. Miller, age 70 of West Grove, PA passed away Thursday, November 4, 2004, at Chester County Hospital in West Chester.
She was the wife of James A. Miller with whom she shared 51 years of marriage.
Born in Ashe County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Pearl Barr Calhoun.
Katherine was a member of the West Grove United Methodist Church in West Grove.
A homemaker, she was extremely devoted to her family.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and crocheting doll clothes for them.
She also liked to bake and spend time near the ocean.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 2 sons, James S. Miller of Wilmington, DE, John F. Miller and his wife, Denise, of New London; 1 brother, Bernard Calhoun and his wife, Maude, of Ashe County, NC; and 4 sisters, Paris Lewis, Geraldine McNeil, Imogene Hamm and her husband, Bruce, all of Ashe County, NC and Maxine Bragg and her husband, Bill, of Summersville, WV.
She is also survived by 4 best grandchildren in the world, Matthew, Kasey, Cassandra and Seana Miller.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by 2 brothers, Cecil and Buehl Calhoun; and 2 sisters, Opha Rhoads and ******Henrietta Powers*******.
Family and friends are invited to attend her Life Celebration from 6-8 pm on Monday, November 8, at the CLEVELAND & GOFUS FUNERAL HOME, "A Life Celebration Home", 221-223 Pennsylvania Ave., Avondale.
A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, November 9, at West Grove United Methodist Church, 300 N. Guernsey Rd., West Grove, PA 19390.
Interment will follow in Union Hill Cemetery, 424 N. Union St., Kennett Square, PA Memorial contributions may be directed to the West Grove United Methodist Church at the above address.
