My ggrandfather was John Thomas Power believed to have been born about 1836 Rural St. John's Nfld He married in June 1864 Eliza (Sinnott or Hurly) she was born 1837 urban St. John's. At the time of marriage John was from The White Hills farming community. Children were Mary Joseph born NFLD 1865, John Peter born NFLD 1868 and Bridget born in NB 1874. John Thomas had brothers Ned, Patrick and Richard and one sister Mary. Mary's first husband Mike Malone they had two sons Mike and Patrick. Second husband was Jack Connolly they had a daughter Margaret. Richard Power had two sons Gerry and MIchael. John Thomas move to Restigouche NB about 1870, but went back to stay with his sister Mary about 1892 to 1897. Then John Thomas,Eliza and children returned to NB Restigouche County, Val D'Amour. Family lived in Tor Bay,Conception Bay, Carboner,Bell Island and Harbour Grace. If any of this sounds familiar please contact me. Have hit a dead end. Any ideas were to search welcomed!
