Hi Mary,
Hardin Powell Private in 3rd Cav. Comp.B
Enlisted October 13, 1864, age at time if enlistment is 18 yrs. Born Conway co. ARK.
As to the Lewis Powell I referred to in 1830 this is part of the Wayne Co. Cenus, as you can see this looks like it could by MY Lewis if you follow the census's the ages change just right.

As you can see many of the above are descendants of Amborse1. This census was finished in June of 1830 so it could very well be that something happened to Lewis after June of 1830 for him to be deceased by the time of Probate of his Father.

There must have been some kind of lawsuit between the two back in 1815 but I have not found anything on that yet.
