Hi Mary, I descend from Rachel Powe d/o Thomas Powe and Rachel Allen. Rachael Powe married Allen Chapman the s/o John Chapman and Mary Allen. Rachel and Mary Allen were the daughters of Erasmus Withers Allen. My 4th Great Grandfather was Thomas Powe Chapman who married Elizabeth Dickerson Moore. Thomas and Elizabeth Chapman had a daughter, Catherine Elizabeth Chapman (B: 1827; D: 7/13/1899 in TX). Catherine married James Franklin Hughes in March 1845 in Lancaster Co., SC. They moved with Thomas and Elizabeth Chapman to TN and then onto Texas arriving 1851. Catherine and James F. Hughes had several children. James McDaniel Hughes was born to them in 1862. James McDaniel Hughes md. Nancy Ann Green. One of their daughters was Dora Pearl Hughes. Dora md. George Hawkins Craker. Their oldest son was my Grandad, James Arthur Craker (B: jun 1914 in Vera, Knox Co., TX D: Jan 1993 in Dallas, TX). James Arhtur Craker married Irene Elizabeth Mitchell. Their 3rd daughter and child was Betty Sue (B: Oct 6, 1939 in Vera, TX), my Mother. As you can see this line goes a ways. I would love to exchange information.
