Virginia, I apologize for not getting back to you sooner.

She died on 09/02/1887 in Cleburne County, AL.She married John Jackson Pollard on 08/26/1847 in Benton County, AL, which is now Calhoun County, AL.Both Sarah and her husband, John Jackson Pollard, are buried at Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery in Cleburne County, AL. John Jackson Pollard was born on 06/22/1826 in Paulding County, GA.He died on 03/03/1896 in Cleburne County, AL.
Their children are:
M. E. Pollard, b. 1848, AL
M. E. Pollard, b. 1849, AL
Arminda Pollard, b. 1852, AL
Almida J. Pollard, b. 1852, AL
Margaret Ann E. Pollard, b. 1854, AL
Sarah J. Pounds, b. 1857, AL
Missouri A. Pollard, b. 1858, AL

Have you seen Newman Pounds' will?I have a typed copy of the contents of his will (not an actual copy). I would like to get a xeroxed copy of his will someday.Do you have the marriage date of 10/11/1831 for Newman M. Pounds and Mary "Polly" Albright?
Please email me if you would like additional information.I have information on my GGF, Elijah John Lee Pollard, who was called "Lee", and my GGM, Louisa Bentley, who was from the Tallapoosa, GA area.Louisa was his second wife. His first wife, Lou Austin, died young. They had two sons.Lee then married Louisa and they had twelve children.I have just had a photograph of their family, which was actually a copy, restored. The photograph was taken in 1910.The restoration was somewhat expensive and the end product was really not as good as I had anticipated that it would be.The computer photograph at the photographer's studio looked so much better than the actual photograph that I ended up with.
My GM was their daughter, Emma Jane Pollard. She married Silas Dewitt Otwell. Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to know my grandmother as she died at the age of 38, leaving behind a husband and five children, ranging in age from 18 to 4.My mother, Lemma Lee Otwell, was her oldest daughter. My mother is still alive and has been interested in genealogy for many years. Most of my research was either begun or completed by my mother.
I would enjoy hearing from you and would appreciate any information that you can provide to me on the Pounds family.
Regarding the mother of Reuben Pounds, I have also heard that she was an Indian. However, I have never been able to locate any information on her, other than her name possibly being spelled as Isham, Isom, or Ishaw.I have her husband, John Pound III, as being born on 02/08/1713 in VA.He died ca 1752.
