Hi Allan! It may be that we are connected way back as my great great grandfather came out from Bradford in the 1870's. He had a brother but no-one in my family knows his name. The brother came out to Australia also but eventually returned to England. John Poulter married and had 11 children. The eighth child Bertie is my great-grandfather, he had 7 children, one of which is my grandfather Charles. I don't know of any Walter or Herbert Poulter's I'm afraid. I am wondering if there is a connection between your grandfather James and my John, as John named his first son James. Do you know what year he was born and if he had any siblings. We believe our John Poulter was born around 1856. Please let me know...Thanks
