Circa 1911 photo of Calvin Pierce and Alvena Potts, Havana, Mason Co., IL

I purchased the subject undated studio (no name or location given) photo of a couple (wedding shot?), identified on the back:

"Mr. & Mrs. Cal. Potts
Helens Uncle & Aunt Alvena
Clifford's Brother."

I was able to identify the couple from the above names and relationships. I found Calvin Pierce Potts listed in the 1880 Census data for Bath, Mason Co., IL; and the 1900, 1910, 1920, and 1930 Census data for Havana, Mason Co., IL. I also found his WWI and WWII draft registration cards. He was born 2 Sep 1879 in Mason Co., IL, the son of Charles J. Potts, born Oct 1847 in MD, and Elizabeth (maiden name unknown), born Oct 1959 in NJ. About 1911, Calvin married Alvena E. (maiden name unknown), born about 1888 in IL. Calvin worked for the Crescent Forge & Shovel Co. The couple resided at 625 E. Adams Street.
