Dear Christine, I live in Australia and have just learnt that I am related to Capt John Potter who was killed at the Battle of Naseby, England, 1645.After reading your genealogy.com account dated Oct 2002 on Vincent and John Potter I find I cannot verify the information you seek. There is evidence that Capt John Potter had a son Thomas who settled in Killinchy,County Down, Ireland. The ensuing family had large areas of land and one of them, John Potter, emigrated to South Carolina 1784.Whilst on my side of the family, which settled in England for 3 generations and then emigrated to Australia. If you are interested, I can provided information about the Potters in Northern Ireland. I am very interested to know if you were able to verify Vincent and John Potter's information and the name of John Potter's widow.Do you have any more information about these two gentlemen as I am very keen to learn more about them.Thank you for any information you can provide and hope to hear from you soon.Best regards, Keith Potter
