I am trying to locate my Mother's natural birth mother, listed as Evelyn Potter [Rhodes] - married initially to Walter Rhoads - spelling unclear. The only information provided by the orphanage was that Evelyn was born in 1907 in Newark, New Jersey. She was one of nine children. Her mother's name was Sarah and the names of some of her siblings were Benjamin, Peter, Harry, Charles and Mollie or Mattie. Evelyn attended high school for two terms and then went to work as an operator for the telephone company and possibly as a governess for a physician on Forest Avenue. My Mother is 80 years old and in great health. I was wondering if she may have other brothers or sisters somewhere out there that may or may not know of her. Thank you.
