I am already a memeber of the NSDAR (National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution) I am getting together data on Joseph Potter (later Capt) as a patriot for use as what is called "supplemental patriots." This is for people who are already memebers and who have more than one Rev. War soldier in their background.
He was born May 7, 1759 according to govt. info included in Revolutionary War Pension Record found at Heritage Quest, location of birth not given. His pension application indicated that Potter was with the troops that crossed the Delaware with General George Washington and fought at the subsequent battle of Trenton. It also indicated at that time Potter was a private.
