Betty, I always try to answer promptly because I know the anxiety of waiting to hear. Do not let the name spelling confuse you. I did for a long time, but I learned better with experience. Long ago and far away, very few were educated enough to even know how to spell their names. Depending on the local brogue could make a difference. Therefore the writer spelled phonically. When I visited England, I was amazed at the many different ways it was spelled. Posterne, Paston, Posten, Paxton and too many to name here.

I won't promise I can find the answer but I will give it my best try and keep you informed. In the meantime, you might try writing the church and see if they have any records that might help you. Never know where you will strike it rich. As you can see, dates do not mean very much. You just have to use common sense and evaluate as you go along.

You might pray a little bit, as well. Miracles do happen and you never know where they may show up.
Mary
